July 25, 2007 - It seems like the leap to PS3/360 didn't hurt NASCAR as much as it has some of EA's other sports franchises, but NASCAR 08 still could have been a lot better.

August 1, 2007 - If really want a NASCAR game and it has to be on the PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, then NASCAR 08 is worth a look because, quite frankly, it's your only choice. But if you own any NASCAR game from the past few years, you might as well stick with that one.

August 17, 2007 - The release of NASCAR 08 just adds insult to injury. It does take advantage of the 360's power to deliver the nicest looking iteration of the game, but questionable gameplay set-up, quirky AI, and lackluster online play drag things down.

August 3, 2007 - Ultimately, like an import tuner with fuzzy dice and neon running lights but no steering wheel, you can't help feeling that some of the most important parts are missing.

August 15, 2007 - With career mode and total team control M.I.A., it's much thinner on the options than past games, but the perpetual left-hand turn never ends, and that's just about all NASCAR fans ask for.

August 16, 2007 - With so many omissions, it's difficult to recommend this game to anyone who is not a die-hard fan of NASCAR.

August 6, 2007 - With next year's release, EA should put Total Team Control and the career mode back into the game, enrich the online racing experience, install more kick into the presentation and, for crying out loud, bring back the real NASCAR drivers and not these emotionless Body Snatcher-like drones.

July 26, 2007 - NASCAR 08 is bare-bones, unpolished and uninspired. When you don't even have any sort of ending wrap-up screen for the Season mode, you know you're in trouble.
