January 13, 2012 - Mediocre - Choplifter HD does occasionally get your rotors spinning, especially for fans of the original, but balancing issues and uninspired missions conspire to make it a mediocre experience overall.

January 10, 2012 - Mediocre - If the chopper had controlled just a bit more nimbly, it's possible all of the game's problems would disappear or at least be reduced to much more tolerable levels. You'll need a lot of patience to make it through the whole thing, but it's fun for the early part of the game, even if you can't stomach dying for the fifteenth time on one of those damn escape missions.

January 13, 2012 - Mediocre - The further in you get, the less the game resembles a fast-paced blasting experience, and the more it turns into a trial-and-error memory exercise as you struggle to remember which way you need to be facing and roughly where you need to be aiming to get past this next load of enemies.

January 12, 2012 - Mediocre - 1200MP is just too much of a stretch for something that can only be enjoyed in extremely measured doses. We're all for dolled up remakes of arcade classics, and those are some lovely backgrounds, but this one needs to be rescued from the limitations of its own design.
