Excellent - Burnout Paradise isn't the best Burnout game ever, but it's up there. It's a welcome sequel from a developer that understands that fun, intuitive gameplay trumps shiny visuals and superficial gloss.

Excellent - It's not perfect and it might not last some players long, but this latest Burnout oozes confidence. It sucks you in, distracts you from its faults and, for a while, takes over your world.

Excellent - There's more opacity here than there probably should be, but once you penetrate its dark shell and figure out what, exactly, is going on, Burnout Paradise is nothing short of amazing. The team at Criterion took a big chance and it's paid off very well.

Good - Burnout Paradise is definitely one of the most entertaining next gen racers on the market. Although the open world has caused some negative changes, the overall effect is a great one. The game looks and sounds fantastic, but plays even better.

Good - The graphics are top-notch, the gameplay still kicks and the online/off-line interaction is lots of fun. If you're a driver looking for something that sets itself apart from the simulation field, you'll happily welcome this little piece of Paradise.

Good - Burnout Paradise plays it safe and stays right on the bumper of previous versions. The open-ended world doesn't always work, but this is one of those games that's inherently fun, regardless of whether you're attempting to make progress.
