January 27, 2010 - Mediocre - We appreciate the budget price point, but in an age when developers like Valve and Epic are offering their fans entire map packs and game modes for free, Battle of Forli is severely lacking and disappointing.

January 27, 2010 - Mediocre - By any objective measurement, this a poor attempt at adding a new sequence to an excellent game which already boasted a generous amount of content. Had it added more explorational elements, or another secret location to discover, it would have been worth the effort - but to simply stitch together forgettable melee encounters and chases with new cut-scenes is some distance from being enough.

February 4, 2010 - Mediocre - There's a cliffhanger at the end as you begin to track down another target which is sure to be the subject of the next quick and dirty DLC. Let's hope the next one emphasizes what made Assassin's Creed II so much fun in the first place.

February 16, 2010 - Mediocre - Ironically, while intended to fill a narrative gap, The Battle of Forli feels out of place. You'll enjoy your time with the formidable Caterina, but the gameplay is just a smattering of standard missions jumbled together without much care.

February 19, 2010 - Mediocre - On the plus side, Battle of Forli is pretty cheap at 320 Microsoft points. Expect about an hour of play, give or take. If you're desperate for more Assassin's, jump right in. Just be aware that you're only getting half the story.
