November 12, 2007 - Good - Though I'm focusing on a lot of Assassin's Creed's faults, this doesn't mean I didn't enjoy playing the game -- it attempts a lot of ambitious things and it almost succeeds at every one.

November 13, 2007 - Good - [Assassin's Creed is] a game that starts off brightly, wriggling elusively as you try and grasp what's going on, delighting in the mechanics and beautiful visuals, before sinking into a pattern that, while fairly gratifying, never evolves and ultimately becomes a bit boring, and quite amazingly repetitive.

November 29, 2007 - Good - Assassin's Creed is a truly original property, and deserves much merit for its fresh approach to stealth gameplay.

November 16, 2007 - Good - Even with braindead guards and occassionally repetitive gameplay, Assassin's Creed is worth a stab. Its scenic presentation, teamed with violent gameplay and an involving story, gives you more than enough reason to step into this killer's shoes.

November 13, 2007 - Good - With Assassin's Creed, Ubisoft has tried to jump start its next monster franchise. Unfortunately, what it's ended up with is a Frankenstein: powerful and wondrous to behold, but not quite what it was aiming for.

November 13, 2007 - Good - If you play Assassin's Creed for an hour, you will probably think it's a fantastic game. But as Assassin's progresses, its dual storylines and repetitive quests begin to grow tiresome.

November 14, 2007 - Good - Assassin's Creed should certainly be played by anyone who's taken the jump to the next-generation consoles, but don't expect to be playing something that will go down in history as one of the greatest games of all time.
