Excellent
October 16, 2008 - Wii Music may have a hard time winning over the skeptics who just want to laugh at it, but give the game the chance it deserves. You just might realize it's pretty damn fun being in on the joke.

October 17, 2008 - Get it for you and your young kids to enjoy as a group activity, but don't expect Gears of War 2 fans to be down with virtual banjos, bongos and clarinets. Unless they have kids, that is.

November 12, 2008 - Wii Music isn't very entertaining and it's not very educational. There aren't enough goals for it to work as a game, and there's not enough musicality for it to work as a toy.

December 4, 2008 - Wii Music is obviously not for everyone. It's not nearly as satisfying as Wii Sports and it fails to capitalize on its own potential.

November 12, 2008 - If you have an interest in the music provided and don't mind participating in what amounts to a MIDI synthesizer with motion interaction, then Wii Music could be worth a try.

October 22, 2008 - The game is charming and can be fun for short periods of time, but unless you're buying it for a young child, it's difficult to recommend as a purchase because older children and adults aren't likely to get more than a few hours of entertainment out of it.

October 30, 2008 - Once this novelty wears off, there's not a lot of longevity here. That makes Wii Music an offering best left to the mainstream market, where the players are less discerning.

October 17, 2008 - I think most adults will quickly recognize that Wii Music is little more than a noise maker tied to a series of gestures and grow bored of the experience in a matter of hours, if not minutes.

Poor
October 21, 2008 - Kids that don't know better will probably love making noise and this could encourage them to learn real instruments. For that reason alone, Wii Music serves a purpose. We just wish there was more to it.

Poor
October 31, 2008 - [Wii Music is] more of an educational experience for dedicated participants, but the poor sound samples, ancient song selection, and poor controls will have many players quitting the band before its first real gig.

November 25, 2008 - We're sure a small group of people will find Wii Music to be the best music game ever made, jamming with friends for months to come, but we just can't see it.
