January 22, 2008 - There's really nothing quite like No More Heroes on the Wii, or indeed just about any other system. This can be said about most of Suda 51's games, but for perhaps the first time, he has made a game truly accessible to just about anyone while retaining the layers and nuance seen in titles like Killer7.

January 22, 2008 - This time, SUDA-51 has delivered a game that can match its absurd premise with equally stimulating gameplay, making for one of the most unique and satisfying action games in recent memory.

January 22, 2008 - Anywhere else and No More Heroes would still be hatstand chicken-punching bonkers, but nowhere else would it be so entirely at home than on the console with the crazy split-in-two controller and the arm-flapping games. Like the Wii, none of it should work, but like the Wii, everything does.

January 30, 2008 - No More Heroes is practically two entirely different games mashed together. One is a funny, smart, stylish action game that never fails to entertain. The other is an open-world game that fails so completely in every regard that, despite all appearances, it's easier to question the developer's intent than it is to accept that it's what they were going for.

January 30, 2008 - The reviewer's point is that in a fight between games as metaphor and games as entertainment, we need to feel like the winners. There are times in No More Heroes when we don't, but there are enough occasions when we do.

February 6, 2008 - If you are looking for a solid third-party Wii title that isn't just a compilation of mini-games, you can't go wrong with No More Heroes.

Good
January 25, 2008 - Even though the graphical flaws and the somewhat stunted side missions get in the way, No More Heroes is 2008's first must-buy for the Wii. It's a romper stomper of a game with enough crazy gameplay, inventive style and loopy antics to justify its price tag.

January 23, 2008 - The visual experience, zany storytelling and quirky moments make [No More Heroes] more accessible than killer7 ever was, though it's certainly not a game for everyone. Grasshopper has crafted a game with merits that outweigh its flaws, and gamers with eccentric tastes should definitely check it out.

January 22, 2008 - The game in some ways covers a narrow range and could definitely push farther with its open world concept, but the killer vibe and amazing moments make this heroic effort worth checking out.

January 22, 2008 - If you can put up with a lack of polish, No More Heroes is an extremely rewarding product, and a must-have for any Suda fan or hardcore gamer.

Good
March 26, 2008 - No More Heroes is not gaming's savour, as many have proclaimed. It's much simpler - a funky, fun third-person hack and slash marred by some boring open world side-missions.
