Critic Reviews
The following reviews are used to calculate the overall reception for this game. All applicable scores are converted to our simplified rating system based on the specifics offered by each publication or the tone of each review. You can read more about how we do this here.
September 27, 2010 - Good - At its best FIFA 11 is enormous fun and brilliantly engineered, but in its battle to be more varied and realistic it has lost some of its momentum, and off the pitch returns are starting to diminish too.
October 18, 2010 - Good - If you are looking for a realistic football experience, then the versions of FIFA for other platforms are still the way to go, but FIFA 11 for the Wii is a very good package that is well suited to Nintendo's console.
September 30, 2010 - Good - Battle For Glory could have done with some more menu options to bring it more in line with the Manager mode in the other versions of FIFA 11. This year, though, it's clear that the focus is on five-a-side multiplayer and the Streets To Stadiums mode, and we can happily report that both are superb additions.
October 11, 2010 - Mediocre - The 11-on-11 soccer plays well as long as you're using the Classic Controller and Battle for Glory is as fun a Manager Mode as you can expect from the series on Nintendo's console. Sadly none of that is enough to overcome the amount of gameplay frustrations and the poorly designed street soccer.
