September 15, 2009 - Good - On one hand it's great to get the opportunity to play more Contra styled after the classics, but on the other it doesn't quite live up to expectations set by those older, better titles, and, in this long-running franchise, it's hard to reward anything less than the best.

November 11, 2009 - Good - Contra ReBirth feels like a super-toned down version of other Contras. It not only brings nothing new to the table, it brings less than it previously did. There's less to do than other Contra releases, and it's also shorter than other Contra games. What's the point?

September 10, 2009 - Good - Contra ReBirth is simply brilliant. It harkens back to the SNES era when motion controls were not but a twinkle in Shigeru Miyamoto's eye - and it's all the better for it. Simply put, it's one of the very finest WiiWare titles to date.

September 22, 2009 - Good - Though Contra ReBirth may not enjoy the same level of variety as other recent installments in the series, it's ultimately well worth the asking price. If you haven't already picked up the cheaper Contra III on the Virtual Console, you'd be hard pressed to find a game as action packed as ReBirth for 10 dollars.
