January 5, 2010 - Good - For anyone who grew up with the old Castlevania games and misses the old-fashioned simplicity of the pre-Symphony entries, ReBirth is a brisk stroll through some the best moments of those older games, with just enough manic upgrades to keep things interesting.

January 26, 2010 - Good - [ReBirth is] a hodge-podge of parts from older games, which doesn't really give the game much of a face of its own. For fans of the older games, however, there's plenty of the familiar things that made them love Castlevania back in the day to be had here, and it won't disappoint those in search of a challenge.

April 13, 2010 - Good - We'd be lying if we tried to say that, in some small way, ReBirth wasn't an enjoyable or, at points, even compulsive game. But given that the Wii, and Virtual Console in particular, isn't short of better examples of classic platforming action, you'll need to really love your 'Vania to get the most out of this.

January 7, 2010 - Good - This isn't quite as impressive a return as the recent Contra Rebirth was, but it's still a lot of fun. All the familiarity may be a problem if you are looking for some Castlevania innovation, but as a new retro game this is a success. It was made for the fans, and they're gonna love it.
