Critic Reviews
The following reviews are used to calculate the overall reception for this game. All applicable scores are converted to our simplified rating system based on the specifics offered by each publication or the tone of each review. You can read more about how we do this here.
September 3, 2010 - Excellent - If only there were any discernible storyline to carry you through the main journey, And Yet It Moves might have been elevated from the status of fantastic quirky indie game, to something very special indeed.
September 2, 2010 - Excellent - If, for whatever reason, you missed out on its PC release last year, or have held off buying a WiiWare title, now is definitely the time to make amends. At this price, there's no excuse not to reward Broken Rules for its fine efforts. And if you're still not convinced, just watch the game in action.
August 24, 2010 - Good - AYIM moves is short, and you can probably make it through the entire Journey campaign in less than two hours; though achievements, time trials, and other assorted modes might give you a reason to revisit stages. But at least on a single playthrough, the spinning mechanic never grows old.
August 26, 2010 - Good - Originally released to disappointing PC sales in April 2009, And Yet It Moves gets a second chance on WiiWare. Here's hoping people make the most of it.
September 13, 2010 - Good - And Yet it Moves provides an adventure that is both challenging and relaxing in equal measure and shows that complicated controls and crazy move sets aren't needed to give players a compelling platforming experience.
September 16, 2010 - Good - And Yet It Moves is a game that I fear won't be given the attention it deserves. It's an utterly enjoyable game, one that simply oozes indie goodness. But in saying that, I look at the Wii owners I know, the ones that just play games rather than obsessively dig out indie gems from all over the place, and I know that they won't play it. They should of course. They'd love it.
