Critic Reviews
The following reviews are used to calculate the overall reception for this game. All applicable scores are converted to our simplified rating system based on the specifics offered by each publication or the tone of each review. You can read more about how we do this here.
March 20, 2012 - Good - Even if it doesn't make any real use of the Vita beyond maximising its horsepower, F1 2011 is good racing game that could have done with just a bit more spirit.
February 20, 2012 - Good - Any PS Vita owner with pretensions towards being a major-league petrol-head will need a copy of this. And for once, it's a Formula One game coming out a sensible time -- that is, during the close-season. Sure, it contains last year's cars and drivers, but it gives you a great chance to rewrite history.
February 21, 2012 - Good - Gamers with more interest in the spectacle of F1 than actually being good at driving will probably like this very much. And at least the good points bode very well for the next one.

February 20, 2012 - Good - F1 2011 isn't quite up to the excellent standard of the console version, but it's still far, far better than the 3DS instalment. Gripes aside, this is still a good sign of things to come for racing games on PS Vita. We just wish it felt more at home on Vita. As it stands it's just not all the game it could have been.
March 2, 2012 - Good - F1 2011 barely uses the Vita's functionality. In fact, we don't remember it using anything at all - not even the touchscreen. Still, F1 2011 will entertain F1 and racing fans. We just hope it has a little more oomph when it inevitably comes back around the track next year.

March 12, 2012 - Poor - F1 fans will be drawn in by the licensed racers and circuits from the 2011 Formula 1 season, the idea of using the DRS rear-wing control, and KERS boosting abilities. [...] But when it comes down to the presentation -- endless menus, muted graphics, and the races themselves -- many will lose interest in F1 2011 very quickly.
