January 26, 2010 - Mediocre - There is some mindless, bullet-whizzing fun and a few neat set pieces in this portable take. And, at its best, The 40th Day does recall the arcade action of classic quarter-munchers such as Commando and Contra. But for the most part the technical and visual achievements that make this title tick on consoles are all but absent here, leaving PSP players with a broken bro-mance.

January 12, 2010 - Mediocre - Lackluster action sequences, brain-dead AI and limited gameplay features really cripple the port of Army of Two: The 40th day on the PSP. While the game does feature morality moments, good dialogue and a variety of environments to fight through, the action is so basic and repetitive that the fun is completely missing.

January 13, 2010 - Poor - EA tries to stuff too many peripheral gameplay components into The 40th Day, which loses focus of the point of the shoot-em-up genre. Coupled with the extremely poor AI, there just really isn't much to recommend about this game.

January 14, 2010 - Poor - There is next to nothing redeeming about this title and it doesn't even begin to approach a level of quality you'd expect for a game carrying a major franchise name. If you're looking for a shooter on the PSP, I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

February 17, 2010 - Poor - In points it's pretty, in fewer points it's a bit of fun. The vast majority of TFD, though, is a broken mess and a complete missed opportunity for something that could once have been a good idea. Absolutely not recommended.
