August 10, 2009 - Good - After wondering since the advent of the HD generation if Madden would get serious about elevating its game to match its good looks, it's nice to see that Madden 10 takes a significant step in that direction.

September 1, 2009 - Good - It may only be August, but with Madden this good, football is back. Finally.

August 25, 2009 - Good - The extensive gameplay improvements in this year's gridiron simulation make it clear that the series is very close to becoming that spectacular game that has eluded fans for so long.

August 17, 2009 - Good - There's a real sense that EA wants to get back to the fundamentals of football with Madden NFL 10, and many of the changes it has made in that respect are good ones. But for all of these improvements, there are seemingly an equal number of nagging setbacks, ranging from the frequency of turnovers to inconsistencies in AI-controlled defenses.

August 12, 2009 - Good - While Madden 10 is our favorite football game of this generation, it suffers from trying to do too much. We love the new gameplay engine but could've happily done without most of the presentation "improvements" that get more irritating with each game.

August 14, 2009 - Good - This is the best looking Madden game to date and the new elements really give players the opportunity to learn and grow in the game. It plays very well, and there are enough features to keep players engrossed, online and off, for quite a while.

August 7, 2009 - Good - Madden NFL 10 packs a lot of football under its 60 dollar price tag. While some of the modes don't perform as well as I'd like, every football fan will still be able to latch on to something for months of fun.

August 14, 2009 - Good - Is Madden NFL 10 the best Madden game ever? Probably, although it seems like an impossible question to answer given the series has been running for at least 50 centuries. It's no doubt the most authentic. The biggest problem is how inaccessible it is.
