August 4, 2009 - Excellent - The way that Fat Princess balances wise-ass humor, supple strategy and wince-inducing violence genuinely surprised me. It reels you in with the cuteness, keeps you interested with the gore, and hooks you permanently with the idea that you can always execute a better battle plan. This is definitely war -- albeit one fought for absurd reasons -- and you should sign up.

August 4, 2009 - Excellent - Fat Princess stands out as one of the most original downloadable games to date. The amount of strategy that exists is plentiful and there is more than enough content included to justify the purchase.
August 1, 2009 - Excellent - As an action real time strategy title, the game offers simple gameplay with unique tidbits to nibble on. Presenting itself as an upbeat game, it keeps its goal obtainable, and that goal remains what every game's goal should be: to have fun.
August 13, 2009 - Excellent - With so many tactical options and a maximum 16 players per team, it can get a bit unfocused: without a headset you're likely to get confused. That said, we teamed up with just one mate and had a whale of a time. This is arguably Sony's most interesting and quirky exclusive since Little Big Planet.
August 3, 2009 - Excellent - I wish the servers were fixed, that there was a better leveling system, that I could form clans, and that I could make a private room that wasn't connected to my friend list, but in the end, all that matters is that this game is fun.
August 8, 2009 - Excellent - Fat Princess is one of the defining games of the PSN. The style is outrageously cute and gory and the gameplay is simple enough that it is infectious to play.

August 17, 2009 - Excellent - Either single player or online, Fat Princess delivers excellence in every way. The single player is quite short and should be looked at more like a tutorial for the very deep multiplayer aspect.
August 11, 2009 - Good - Multiplayer is no longer the tease it was when the game first went live. Fifteen dollars is a highly reasonable price to pay for the enjoyment you'll get out Fat Princess.
August 10, 2009 - Good - The core design, which seems so elegant at first, leads either to quick decisions between teams of unmatched skill, or long slogs worthy of a Russian winter campaign. When the action drags on, the not-inconsiderable cute factor starts to wear away.
August 4, 2009 - Good - We want to like Fat Princess more than we actually do. It has the make-up of a brilliant online team game. But the lack of overall communication really does have an affect on how the game plays. If you're in a position where you have 30 mates all online with headsets, you'll love it.
August 4, 2009 - Good - The strong core game opens the door for future expansion with more maps and modes, so for $15, Fat Princess is a safe bet for gamers craving some off-beat action.
August 5, 2009 - Good - There is a lot more to Fat Princess than it first seems, but in the end it is one of the most charming games I have played since LittleBigPlanet. Nevertheless, my concern is that its replayabilty may be limited for most players.
August 3, 2009 - Good - Fat Princess has a few balancing issues and online problems, but as long as you have friends to play with and a penchant for gleefully bloody competition, it's a lot of fun.
August 3, 2009 - Good - From the squeaky character voices to the unlockable beards to the awesomely hilarious credits, Fat Princess has a lot to love.
August 10, 2009 - Good - There isn't much like Fat Princess on any platform, and though it's clear that it can grow in any number of ways, the game is already hectic and fun.
August 10, 2009 - Good - Despite its early growing pains, Fat Princess manages to walk a pretty straight path between frenzied combat and larger-scale tactics. It's a unique take on team-based multiplayer with a lot of personality and charm--and, with any luck, a lot of staying power on the PlayStation Network.
August 4, 2009 - Good - A worthy addition to the growing library of great games on the PlayStation Store, Fat Princess is enormously enjoyable and exceptionally fun to play with friends online. The only thing sadly absent is an offline split-screen option, which would have been thoroughly welcome.
August 11, 2009 - Good - If gamers are worried about Fat Princess not giving them an amusing time, then they should worry no longer - Fat Princess has more highs than lows to justify a digital download for any PlayStation 3 owner.
August 3, 2009 - Mediocre - There's the basis of a really enjoyable and original multiplayer experience here, but it's simply too chaotic to encourage the co-operation required to keep the gameplay moving. Packed with lovely ideas, yet lacking focus, balance and pacing, it's little more than a guilty snack.
August 4, 2009 - Mediocre - Multiplayer gaming is generally something that you can hop in and out of, playing a few games here and there, but that's generally not possible with Fat Princess - log on for 30 minutes and you'll likely fail to even complete a single game. There's only so much the cute presentation can gloss over, meaning some serious changes will need to be made if the game is going to have any real legs.
