June 29, 2010 - Good - It's a shame that Bohemia Interactive was unable to improve performance and fix many of the annoying AI issues that all too often bring a single-player mission to a shouting, keyboard bashing conclusion, but at under £20, Operation Arrowhead is a well priced way of enhancing and expanding one of the PC's most challenging and tactical FPS games.
June 30, 2010 - Good - Takistan's towns and villages are liberally sprinkled with hollow buildings. While these interiors ensure great FIBUA action, they can seriously degrade performance. Can the situation be improved? I sincerely hope so, otherwise a lot of Arrowhead users are going to be forced to fight their way through the beautiful streets of Zargabad with minimal texture, detail, and view distance settings.
July 23, 2010 - Good - It's better than it used to be, but still needs work. Operation: Arrowhead has improved the original in many key areas - particularly in co-op. Let's hope the next release address the AI and gives us a meatier campaign.
July 14, 2010 - Good - Arma II: Operation Arrowhead is an excellent expansion. It provides an abundance of new content, including at least 15 hours of gameplay before you even touch the editor or enter a multiplayer match, a beautiful new Central Asian setting, and a respectable number of new factions and armaments.
June 29, 2010 - Good - Operation Arrowhead paints what is, possibly, the most chilling picture of the horrors of war than any game has achieved yet. But the atmosphere-breaking glitches and turgid campaign make it an effort to stay invested in the game.
July 1, 2010 - Good - If you're new to the franchise, the standalone Operation Arrowhead is a good place to start so you can run through the detailed tutorials, and you can pick up the Combined Operations to get the initial ArmA II release as well. It's a game only for the dedicated, but if you've got the desire and the attention span, it's absolutely worth checking out.
July 6, 2010 - Good - It's difficult to sum up Operation Arrowhead. On the one hand it brings more of what we love about Bohemia's games, gritty combat on an immense scale, with an entirely new setting, a decent campaign and some short but sweet single missions. Yet the expansion doesn't improve on the original and doesn't fix any of the problems ArmA 2 had.
